About Tom

Thomas lives in Shortlands with his wife and their two cats Odysseus and Phryne. He works in the financial services sector and shares the frustrations of daily commuting into the city with many local people.

Thomas has played an active role in the community as a School Governor, NHS Governor and trustee of two charities. Thomas has previously been Vice-Chair of a national charity. He was involved in setting up the Shortlands Rail & Public Transport Users’ Group.

Thomas has been a campaigner in the community and has successfully campaigned on issues such as bus capacity, road safety improvements and supporting local shops and traders. As a renter in London for ten years Thomas is a passionate advocate of making renting fairer


Thomas is active politically, currently as Chairman of Lewisham West and Penge Conservatives. He has run for parliament, contesting the Greenwich & Woolwich constituency at the 2019 General Election. He has also previously served as Deputy Area Chairman of London South-East Conservatives.
