Cities are built on their transport networks, but all too often it feels like Bexley and Bromley get left off the map.
That is why I not only fully support bringing the DLR to Thamesmead, but also want it go further: supporting Bexley Council’s proposal to have the extension come to Belvedere. Thamesmead is long overdue a rail connection.
I want to see Superloop services reflect local demand. That is why I have supported Bexley Councillors and Louie French MP in campaigning for the SL3 to stop in Bexley Village. I am also leading a campaign with Peter Fortune MP to have the SL4 serve Bromley North – providing a direct connection to Canary Wharf. I am also calling for a new Superloop service to serve our rural communities like Biggin Hill.
Our rural communities can often be left cut off. That is why I have organised round-table events with TfL, Operators and Utility companies to reduce the impact of road works, and ensure shuttle buses are provided when the roads are closed. I have called for the 320 route to be shortened to improve the service for those in Biggin Hill.
I have opposed cuts to our bus services such as the reduction in service on the 138 route, and the removal of school services.
