In September, Southeastern announced their new timetable which will take effect from the 11thDecember. Unfortunately, this includes removing the services from Hayes to Cannon Street from the line. All services will instead go to Charing Cross.
I am opposed this change, as someone who works in the City myself I know how important the direct connection is. Many people have chosen Hayes as a place to live based on the connection so I’m disappointed that this change has been announced with no prior consultation.
Together with the local Member of Parliament, Bob Stewart, and Councillors for areas also on the Hayes line, we have launched a petition calling on Southeastern to reverse the decision.
