Question No: 2025/0542
Question: Thomas Turrell (Bexley and Bromley) - 25th February 2025
When will TfL launch formal consultations on plans to amend the Superloop routes in South London, such as extending the SL5 to terminate in Croydon and reducing the SL7 to start in Sutton?
Answer: Sir Sadiq Khan (Mayor of London) - 28th February 2025
Transport for London (TfL) is not planning to change the SL5 or SL7 routeings at this time; and therefore there are no current plans to consult on changes to these routes. TfL continues to review the Superloop network to ensure it best meets the needs of Londoners.
TfL has recently launched consultation on a proposed new Superloop route BL1 (https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/bl1-superloop) and I expect TfL to launch two further consultations on Superloop expansion (https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/superloop-expansion) soon.
